TalentQ is a Singapore-headquartered HR technology company serving enterprise clients across Southeast Asia and the Asia-Pacific region. Founded by a team of talent acquisition veterans and AI engineers, the company set out to replace outdated, gut-feel hiring processes with a data-driven, skills-first approach. With a client base spanning technology firms, financial institutions, and large-scale manufacturers, SkillSync needed a robust, scalable SaaS platform capable of administering thousands of assessments simultaneously, delivering real-time insights to HR teams, and adapting to the rapidly evolving skill demands of a competitive regional talent market.

Designed a microservices-based architecture capable of handling thousands of concurrent assessments with isolated execution environments for the coding simulator, independent scaling for the video module, and a shared analytics data layer.

UX & product design

Created distinct interface experiences for three user types candidates, hiring managers, and HR administrators each with workflows, dashboards, and navigation tailored to their specific role and goals within the platform.

Phased agile development

Built and shipped in four focused sprints skill library and adaptive engine first, followed by the coding simulator, then the video assessment module, and finally the analytics dashboard ensuring each module was production-ready before the next began.

Performance, security & compliance testing

Load tested the platform at 5000+ concurrent sessions, conducted penetration testing on all assessment environments, and validated data handling practices against Singapore's PDPA data privacy framework.

Enterprise onboarding & post-launch support

Managed rollout with SkillSync's first enterprise clients, providing onboarding documentation, administrator training, and ongoing platform monitoring with iterative feature releases aligned to client feedback cycles.
